Fabian Oil is actively searching for a qualified dispatcher to service our New England trucking processes.
Details:
• Night Shift: Sunday – Wednesday (12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.)*
• Position will work remotely after an in-office training period.
• Pay based on qualifications and experience.
*Subject to rotating schedule. Schedule and hours are subject to change at any time due to the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
• Applies working knowledge of current laws, regulations, and best practices of fuel delivery operations, petroleum storage tanks, trucks, and off-loading facilities to schedule, assign and dispatch crude oil transportation trucks.
• Analyzes schedules and loading requirements to determine route length, type and volume of product, and number of trucks required to complete daily schedules.
• Assigns various trucks according to size, locations, and type.
• Keeps accurate and up to date records of available vs. in service trucks.
• Maintains courteous and professional relationship with customers and drivers.
• Performs other duties as required.
Requirements:
• High School diploma or G.E.D. and two or more years of experience in on-road transportation of petroleum products is required*
• A combination of education, experience, and training may be substituted for the post High School requirements.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English at a 12th grade level.
• Competent in the use of software applications such as: Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be able to efficiently communicate with internal and external personnel both via telephone and in-person.
• Must be able to complete safety training.
Additional Notes:
Works under general supervision. Work is reviewed for completion to quality standards and schedule requirements. May adapt techniques and tools to meet special needs with approval from management. Work may require occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying 20-pound objects such as files, documents, and computer printouts.
